We had the pleasure of attending WordCamp Maine this past weekend. It was held at the Maine College of Art; not only a beautiful venue, but one that inspired the same creativity and community that WordCamps are known for.
Friday was Contributor Day. This was a chance for people new and experienced with WordPress to learn the many ways in which to contribute to the WordPress project.
As a contributor myself, it was great to see so much interest in helping to make WordPress more accessible for the millions of existing users and for those who have yet to find and utilize it to make their voices heard.
If you’re interested in learning how to contribute to WordPress, you can see the many ways to get involved here.
There were many great sessions broken into three categories – Ideas & Business, Site Creation and Development.
The only unfortunate thing about conferences of any kind is that you just can’t attend every session. I chose my schedule before I arrived and of all the sessions I sat in on, these were a few of my favorites.
